With the wide variety of properties we work with, we are always looking out for property experts who have a well-rounded skillset. Our team of Chartered Surveyors, Property Managers and Registered Valuers are some of the most experienced and versatile property experts around and we are delighted to have further increased the expertise found within the team through the recent addition of Dominic Morris, BA (Hons) MSc MRICS.
Dominic joined the team in January 2024 and has worked in valuation consultancy for over 3 years and qualified as a chartered surveyor and registered valuer in 2022. Prior to qualifying he gained experience in the out-of-town retail market as an investment and lettings agent before moving onto Development Consultancy and Residential Development Valuations.
It was during my internship in London that I became interested in Real Estate and the role it played in the city. Whether it was the modern developments or some of London’s classic architecture, I was fascinated by the different mix of buildings and their uses within communities. Seeing how they play a role in daily lives and serve a purpose – whether that’s for work, leisure or social – was a huge draw for me.
Dominic also loves the interpersonal aspect of the job, being able to go out and meet clients, learning about the different assets and their purposes. When doing commercial valuations, for example, he enjoys being able to understand the specifics of the asset and how that serves the occupiers requirements.
I really enjoy building relationships with my clients and understanding their particular needs. It is always satisfying to address those when carrying out a valuation.
Of special interest to Dominic are the larger sites, such as industrial units, factories or assets devoted to research and technology uses.
Understanding how property has been developed specifically for the occupier’s requirements is really interesting!
Dominic also appreciates having the opportunity to work on development valuations.
What I find so stimulating about working on development sites is that you get to be involved in something that so directly impacts someone’s life and their local communities.
Dominic has developed a strong grasp of the property market in London and the South East. He looks forward to continuing to develop his already incredible knowledge and skills alongside the other experts within the Valuation team.
