As a London-based company, it has always been important for us at Anderson Wilde & Harris to support local charities. Our day-to-day work in the London property market can often see us working with some of the most expensive and privileged addresses, as well as with ordinary people buying their first homes. Some of the charities we have worked with in the past have chosen to look after the needs of some of the most vulnerable and most poorly children in the capital.
In many respects these charities look after the future of our great city in ways that we could not possibly achieve. As such, they deserve our thanks and our support.
Their amazing and selfless work is an inspiration to us and reminds us that London is, at it’s heart, a city that cares about those in need.
Charities we have supported
Two of the charities we have supported in the past are Great Ormond Street Hospital and Barnardo’s. The longevity of these great charitable institutions serves as a reminder that altruism and care have been a part of our country for a long time.
Barnardo’s, founded by Thomas John Barnardo, have been protecting children & young people for over 150 years. They currently help hundreds of thousands of children and young people, as well as their parents and carers in London and across the UK.
Great Ormand Street Hospital (GOSH) was founded in 1852 and is one of the world’s leading hospitals for children. GOSH provides paediatric health services such as neurosurgery, paediatric cancer services and nephrology and renal transplants for children and young people from all over the UK and abroad.
AWH have actively fundraised for these and other charities in the past through activities such as in-house collections at a monthly ‘Pizza Tuesday’, as well as other staff activities.
We also hold an annual AWH Charity Golf Day, where sponsorship, donations and advertising opportunities help raise much-needed funds for the charities in question.
If you would like to help us support the charities of our choice through our annual Golf Day, you can do so by clicking on the charity’s logo below and making a donation via our dedicated pages on JustGiving.com.
Alternatively, please contact Jamie Chamberlain (firstname.lastname@example.org) to donate or be one of the sponsors for the event..
